Sensory Scientist - intern
Technology company specialized in collecting — through online services, events, and partnerships — and analyzing consumption data through a proprietary sensory model. We have developed an online service that detects consumer preferences nd translates them into sensory profiles composed of multiple variables. These profiles are used to segment consumers.

- Contribute to internal sensory studies: preparing tasting sessions, collecting and organizing sensory data, and running first-level analysis.
- Work on the taste model itself: exploring how sensory attributes describe products within a category, and how consumer clusters relate to them.
- Support the design of consumer surveys: helping define what to ask and how to structure responses so the resulting data can answer the research question.
- Clean, organize, and verify datasets — a real and substantial part of sensory research.
- Summarize your findings in a clear, structured way and present them to the team.
- Attend client meetings as an observer, contributing to the preparation of materials, with growing involvement over the course of the internship.
Your Profile
- Enrolled in or recently graduated from a Master's programme (Laurea Magistrale) in Sensory Science, Consumer Science, Food Science, Psychology, or a related field.
- Solid grounding in research methodology and basic statistics.
Corsi di laurea richiesti:
- Scienze e tecnologie alimentari
Familiarity with Python or R is a plus.
Good written and spoken English and Italian.
Comfortable working with data in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Genuine curiosity about taste and sensory perception, and the willingness to form and defend your own interpretation of a dataset.
- Autonomy and initiative: you can take a task forward without being told each next step.
